Entrances

There is one entrance to the station, on Chester Avenue just north of Danforth Avenue. A walkway starting at Jackman/Hurndale provides access from the west.

Although the station is rated as high priority in the requirement for a second exit,[1] Chester is the only one left on the east end of the Bloor-Danforth line where design work and consultation has yet to be done.[2]

Nearby landmarks

Nearby landmarks include Greektown and Withrow Park. The station serves the northern part of Riverdale and the southern part of Broadview North.

Surface connections

Chester is the only station in the system that does not connect with regular day-time bus or streetcar routes, resulting in this station being one of the least-used in the system. The 300 Bloor-Danforth Night Bus operates on Danforth from 1:30-5:30 a.m. after the line as shut down.
